Lid Installation & Removal

Overview

Safe and proper removal of chassis lid is essential for accessing internal components.

The Hako-Core chassis lid is designed for quick, tool-minimal removal while maintaining structural integrity when closed. The Hako-Core features a slide-and-lift lid mechanism for easy maintenance access.

Tool Requirements

Basic Tools

• Phillips #2 head screwdriver (magnetic tip recommended).

Optional Tools

• Magnetic parts tray for screw storage.
• Clean cloth for handling.

Safety First

It is always recommended to power down the system when working inside the case.

Warning!

Check that no cables will be pinched or stressed during lid removal or installation.
Do not overtighten to avoid stripping the screw. There is 1 extra screw provided in the "extras bag".

Removal Procedure

Removing the Front Lid

1. Locate the lid screw on the top front edge of the chassis.
2. Use a #2 Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screw.
3. Slide the lid towards the front of the case to unlatch.
4. Lift and remove the lid

Removing the rear Lid

1. Locate the lid screws on the left and right side of the chassis and use a #2 Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws.
2. Locate the thumb screw on the back of the chassis and use a #2 Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screw.
3. Slide the lid towards the rear of the case to unlatch.
4. Lift and remove the lid.

Installation Procedure

Reassembling the rear lid

1. Lower lid onto chassis.
2. Slide lid towards the front of the chassis.
3. Reinstall the 2 screws on the right and left side of the chassis and tighten snugly.
4. Reinstall the thumb screw on the back of the chassis and tighten snugly.

Reassembling the front lid

1. Lower lid onto chassis.
2. Slide lid toward the rear of the chassis.
3. Reinstall the single screw on the top front edge of the chassis and tighten snugly.

2. Use a #2 Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screw.
3. Slide the lid towards the rear of the case to unlatch.
4. Lift and remove the lid.

Installation Procedure

Reassembling the lid

1. Lower lid onto chassis.
2. Slide lid toward the front of the chassis.
3. Reinstall the securing screw and tighten snugly.
